I would like to share with you an email that was sent to me.  Thank You, Kim, for giving us permission to put this up and thank you, Kim's Son, for sharing with us this very important message for all to read.

With this tragic and historical happenings in our country, we are all so affected even the children who have seen and are trying to understand, have something to say about it.  

Here is what my 9 yr old son has put together on his own (which I have typed up for him and included the pictures that I've taken in our neighborhood). I have it the way he wrote it at first, then what I've corrected in spellings and phrases.

 

September 11, 2001

many  lives  are  lost   and  many  people  are  injered.

they  thot  noking  down  2  buildings  will  pull  us  apart  but all  it  did  is  make  Umarica  work  as  a  teme.   

not  only  New York  buildings  wer  bombd  and  drovin  arplans  in  them   uther plasis  too.  

the  hexugog  is  gon  too  and  lots  lots  more.

September 11, 2001.  New York City is devastatingly attacked by 2 hijacked commercial airplanes. As we watch from Hoboken, all are shocked and amazed at what has happened. We sincerely pray for those who lost loved ones in the disaster, and pray for the hope and peace of these families.

Many lives are lost and many people are injured.

The terrorists thought that by knocking down 2 buildings, it would pull us apart, but all it did was make  America work as a team.

Not only  New York City buildings were hit and destroyed, but the Pentagon was also hit.  Now when  we look at New York City it is different because there is less buildings that we have seen for so many years, but most important, there are thousands less people, both here and in Washington DC

 September 12, 2001

Two more buildings in New York City that make up the Wonderful and World Famous Manhattan Skyline have crumpled to the ground because of the impact of the Twin Towers being utterly destroyed.

Children are talking, thinking, hoping, praying ..... caring about what has happened.  We, as adults, must watch our actions at this time so far as what we say about the terrorists and their actions towards our country's people; if we display hate, they will too, so please be very careful in what u say around the presence of children.  

.

God is in control ..... He's not STILL in control, He never lost it, never will.  Our eyes should be in the Word, on Jesus. Our mouths should be speaking care for the victims, those who are suffering losses of family members, and reaching out to them in the Love of Jesus our Savior. We should be praying for the Lord to guide our country's leaders and the decisions they are making, and pray against outrage displays, for this will only cause us to be as the terrorists are, and that is so not Christ like. If anything, pray that these attacks stop on our country.  

We live 7 minutes away from the NY Skyline by boat, ..... it's not the same here anymore .... with stealth bombers flying over head, many streets closed off, and a triage unit at our transit station, our children see the damages done ..... they are talking about it, they are formulating opinions based on what they see and what they hear on the news and what we say.
